To All Apprentices of Sheet Metal Workers, Local 512

Recently, our contractors of the HVAC division of the trade has requested certification of Apprenticeship before hire.
It is the responsibility of the member Apprentice to have this certificate and have a copy on file at the union office.
Because of privacy concerns with the Apprenticeship Board of the Government of NL Advanced Education and Skills, it is the sole responsibility of the member to have this certificate and a record filed at the Union Office.

Our Contractors will not accept any dispatch for an Apprentice without it, therefore, an member apprentice without it, will not be dispatched. This is of dire importance and may cause you from not obtaining employment.

This requirement of Apprentice Certification stating what year you are, ie. 2nd., 3rd., 4th., or Red Seal/Provincial J.P. ticket will need to be updated each year.

Please do not disregard this notice and act on it as soon as possible.  If the Union Office does not have this information you will not be dispatched.  And if the information is not on our file by March 31, 2018, the union will have no choice but to remove you from the H.V.A.C. Apprentice list.
